12-24 months - Little Explorers

Ms. Lexa

I was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. After graduating high school I moved to Madison where I attended college at Edgewood. I graduated in 2013 with bachelors in Studies in Education and a minor in Psychology. During and after college I worked as a nanny for 5 years and have now been working within a daycare for 2 years. During my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my loved ones, and of course hanging out with my dogs Lyndon and Kinnley. I love working with children and find nothing more rewarding than being a part of their growth and development. I truly love experiencing and helping them learn, grow, develop, and go through the many different milestones of their lives. Working with children has always been my true passion.

We welcome your one year old to the fun, bright and stimulating Little Explorers classroom, located in the middle of our building, just past the infant rooms. The Little Explorers classroom features many different learning centers including our large, climb-on forest play set, many soft play areas and a large, socialized eating area. The curriculum for the one year old room encourages plenty of fun and play as well as coloring, sign language and many other activities centered upon building social, cognitive and fine motor skills.
