Meet the Office Staff

Jennifer Webb
Administrator/Center Director

I have worked in the Early Childhood field for over sixteen years with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood. I have been privileged over these years to work closely with children and their families. I have been able to help provide a safe, caring and educational environment for parents to leave their children while they go to work. I have also been fortunate over the year in their field to work with children of all ages. I look forward to working with you and your children to help them learn the skills they will need to be successful in the years to come. In my spare time I enjoy doing lots of things. I like to read mystery and write children stories. I also enjoy doing counted cross stitch and scrap booking. Another thing I like to do in my spare time is being with my family.

Laura Friedman
Assistant Director

My name is Laura Friedman and I am the Assistant Director. I grew up in the Chicagoland area. I live here in Stoughton and have lived in the Madison area off and on, since 1998. I have two children who attend Fox Prairie Elementary School. My oldest is a 4th grader and the other is in 2nd grade. I'm very excited to get to know all the families, here at Martin Luther Child Development Center. I attended Edgewood College and majored in Early Childhood Education-Exceptional Educational Needs. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern Illinois University. My background has mostly been working with students in Special Education, of various ages and needs. I previously worked with low income families as a teacher in Early Head Start, as well as Head Start. Please feel free to stop by anytime with any questions or concerns you may have. I feel honored to be included in the Martin Luther school family and look forward to having a great year, full of learning, growing and playing!

Amanda Jones
Personnel Coordinator

I have been employed here since May of 2016 and have enjoyed getting to know the teachers and staff here at the center. I love helping them obtain a positive work environment, helping them with their scheduling needs, as well as any other personnel-related challenges they face. Before coming to Martin Luther I was employed in Janesville at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home for 13 years. I received my CNA certificate in January of 2001 and worked on the floor for 9 years before becoming a lead CNA. As a lead CNA I began training new staff and also had the responsibility of scheduling staff at St. Elizabeth. A year later, I decided to hang up my CNA position for good and accept the position as Human Resource Supervisor and I worked in that position for two years. After 13 years of working at St. Elizabeth, I decided to move on to start a new adventure in life and began working at Martin Luther Child Development Center.

I am a single mother of two great children. We enjoy camping, swimming and most of all just being around our family and friends. We spend most of our free time with my four siblings and their children and are always planning our next trip camping to the Dells or simply just a cookout to be around each other.

I enjoy quilting with my Grandma and spending time with my family and friends. I am proud to be working alongside the amazing and welcoming administrators and staff here at Martin Luther!
